Gate City Activism
In the summer of 2014, I completed a residency at the Elsewhere Living Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The projects I pursued there are related to activism and social hierarchy in 20th century novels and history books, found in the museum’s permanent collection.
The Gate City Activism project is a collection of interviews with activists who have worked for social change in Greensboro and those who continue to work for positive change in Greensboro, North Carolina. Interviews include insights and oral history from historians, grass roots organizers, young activists, and historically celebrated community activists in the Gate City. You can listen to the compilation of activist testimonies here.
